Alpha (metastable) · Reddish blue
Pigment Blue 15:0
Alpha Copper Phthalocyanine
CAS 147-14-8
The unmodified alpha crystalline form of copper phthalocyanine, producing a reddish blue shade. PB 15:0 is valued for its clean, bright masstone in water-based systems. As a metastable polymorph, it may undergo crystal conversion to the beta form in the presence of strong aromatic solvents, making it best suited for aqueous and select solvent applications.
